
UZÈS - A beautiful small town dating back to Roman times. The historical centre, protected since 1965, has lots of small streets filled with shops, cafés and restaurants. On Saturdays you can enjoy an authentic 'Provencale' market which runs through the main boulevard, into the centre and onto the famous "Place aux Herbes". Here you can enjoy the delights of the numerous restaurants with their lovely terraces. Uzès is also famous for its architecture with 'Le Duché', the Cathedral 'St-Théodorit' and the 'Fenestrelle tower'.

AVIGNON - A unique old fortified city full of culture, history, architecture, art, music and food & wine. You can visit the 'Palais des Papes' and its gardens at the top of the ramparts, the famous bridge from the song 'Sur le Pont d'Avignon, on y danse, on y danse' or stroll the streets to discover the numerous boutiques, bars and restaurants. In July, Avignon hosts an International Theatre Festival where the city transforms itself into one big play.

NIMES - As the capital of the Gard department in the Languedoc Roussillon region, Nimes has a rich history dating back to the Romans. The city has one of the best preserved amphitheatres in the world, an intact roman temple and a contemporary art museum designed by Norman Foster.

SEASIDE - Only an hours drive from the house will get you to the beaches of la Grande Motte. le Grand Travers and Grau du Roi. You can choose from a variety of private beach clubs or the public beach.
Grau du Roi is a fishing village and very popular in the summer with lots of shops, ice-cream vendors and restaurants serving fresh seafood.
